Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez believes that goalkeeper David de Gea will become one of the world's best goalkeepers. De Gea has struggled in his two years as United goalkeeper so far but put in a fantastic display against Real Madrid last Wednesday.

De Gea has had his problems, showing particular weakness on crosses and dealing with the physicality of the Premier League but what is usually not called into question however, is is his obvious shot-stopping skills.

Teammate Chicharito, believes that de Gea will become one of the world's best in the next few years and cites United's unwavering faith in the young keeper as proof that the club feels the same way.

Speaking to MUTV, Chicharito said, "A lot of people who know about football know that David is a top-class goalkeeper. That is why Manchester United bought him. They saw how good he can be. If he wasn't at the right level to play at this club he wouldn't be here and they are trying to look after him. To me, he is a complete goalkeeper."

Chicharito's first season with United was a stellar one, instantly proving his worth to United as a deadly finisher. His second season was one of learning, transition and dealing with injuries that will certainly come in a physical league. Chicharito is now back to his dangerous best and, as a fellow Spanish speaker, has formed a close relationship to de Gea. Chicharito knows how difficult it can be to adjust to life in a different country and adjust to a completely different league, all of which de Gea is currently struggling with.

Despite the challenges, Chicharito believes the Spanish keeper will be the best in the world as he continues to work on his game and not pay attention to negative criticism. The Mexican striker believes de Gea is constantly learning and will improve greatly in each season.

De Gea is set to perhaps be rested for the FA Cup match against Reading on Monday but will surely feature when the Premier League resumes the following week.
