Manchester United have announced that they will be playing a friendly in Hong Kong. The match will be against Chinese side Kitchee FC.
The friendly match will take place on July 29 at the Hong Kong Stadium and will be United's first trip to Hong Kong since 2005. United have cited their massive fanbase in China as the reason they will be traveling to the city. The pre-season friendly tours are a good way for the team to visit fans that would normally not get a chance to see them.
United's summer 2013 pre-season tour will also take them to Australia and the club have announced that a third date and city will be revealed on Tuesday. According to a survey conducted on behalf of United, out of the club's 659 million fans, 108 million live in China.
