In Sunday's draw for the fifth round of the FA Cup, Manchester United drew fellow Premier League team Reading. The Royals will travel to Old Trafford for the tie on the weekend of the 16th and 17th of February.
United's meeting with Reading will mark the third time in a row that the Red Devils have been drawn against a Premier League side in the competition thus far. United has already shrugged off the challenges of both West Ham and Fulham on their way to the fifth round. The tie will represent the 13th time United have faced Reading in the FA Cup having only lost one of the previous 12 meetings.
United has not lifted the FA Cup since 2004 and Sir Alex Ferguson has expressed his intention to win the competition this year. This was evident on Saturday when United defeated Fulham with a fairly strong lineup, and that same lineup that battered Fulham 4-1 will most likely be featured in the match against Reading next month.Tags: FA Cup, Fulham, Manchester, Manchester United, Premier League, Reading, Sir Alex Ferguson, Soccer
