United have played West Ham seven times previously in the FA Cup which has seen the Red Devils win three and lose four. United will look to improve in the FA Cup competition as they have not won the trophy since 2004.

United were also dealt some bad news on Sunday when Sir Alex Ferguson confirmed that Anderson will be out for a few weeks due to a hamstring injury that he picked up in United's win over Reading on Saturday. After scoring a superb goal that leveled the score, Anderson could not complete the first half with Phil Jones replacing him. The injury will come as a bad blow for the Brazilian midfielder who has played very well in recent games.
